I thought this Spring Chrome Box would be a fun addition to our existing Chrome Powders. These 6 chromes are for use after you are done with your mani. These are NOT dip powders.
Each jar contains at least 1 gram of chrome.
These jars will NOT be filled to the top.
Apply these after your manicure is complete! They work with a gel or regular topcoat. Yes! You can use them over dip, but you must seal the manicure with either a no wipe gel or regular top coat for best results! In this case, you would skip the last activator step and use your no wipe gel or regular top coat using the following instructions. A little powder goes a long way!
Photos are shown with a Black base and a White Base. With different bases, the chromes may look different.
For use with a gel top coat (with UV/LED lamp)
1. Use a Gel Base first and cure per bottle instructions.
2. Use your Gel Top (no wipe is best) and coat your nail with a thin layer.
3. Flash cure only (This means an abbreviated cure approx. 5-15 seconds depending on your Gel Top). You may need to rely on trial and error until you find the "sweet spot".
4. Rub on the dust powder with an eyeshadow applicator or makeup sponge. Rub into the nail until it's smooth and all powder is gone.
5. Finish with your Gel Top and cure according to bottle instructions, making sure to cap your edge to avoid peeling.
For use with regular top coat (no UV/LED lamp)
- Apply a non-water based top coat and wait until it is dry to the touch. Don’t let the top coat dry all the way. You want it to feel rubbery, but not sticky or tacky. If you apply the powder too soon, you will have a mess. On the other hand, if you wait too long, the powder won’t stick.
- Tap on the powder using a foam eyeshadow brush. Start from the cuticle area and work your way towards the tip. Gently flick the brush down as you tap the powder on.
- Buff the powder into the polish. Once you have your nail coated with powder, gently buff the surface with the foam eyeshadow brush. To avoid making dents, do not apply too much pressure. As you continue to buff, the surface will get smoother and smoother. Wipe off any excess powder. Use a soft brush, such as an eyeshadow brush.
- Apply a water-based top coat, making sure to coat the tip of your nail. If you use a regular top coat, you could experience cracking or a dull mirror finish.
Finish off with a regular top coat. To lengthen the finish on your manicure, once you have applied a water-based top coat, you can safely use any type of top coat.
- Wait for your top coat to finish drying. Once it is dry, you can show off your new manicure!

As of 2/1/24, all dip powders are being filled by volume in 1/4 oz jars (filled to the top) and no longer sold by weight, as they had previously been. However, many powders that were filled prior to that will still be in jars that were filled by weight. Powders filled in 1 oz jars (mostly our Clear Glows and Clear) will be noted in the listing as such. A small amount of settling will occur during shipment.
Images of Colors May Vary Slightly: While we try our hardest to capture the true color of each powder, many factors including the number of dips you apply, lighting differences and using gel liquids vs. dip liquids may alter your color from our photos. Many of our photos come from our customers.
